| | About the Island of Harris |
|
| | With an incredible diversity in its landscape, Harris is often described as the 'high heart of the Hebrides'. From spectacular beaches and soft, flower-covered machair in the West to dramatic, rocky landscape of the Bays in the East.
Hillcrest is situated just outside Tarbert, the capital of Harris, where the ferry to Skye arrives and leaves. To the North we look onto the stunning North Harris Hills, over which you travel to reach the Isle of Lewis (Stornoway is 40 minutes drive away) and to the South sits the main body of South Harris, with it's stunning beaches and breathtaking views.
